OK everyone, please feel free to "fire me up" for wasting my money on this slug. The price was right and for being an old piece of jewelrey. She is in pretty good (F-12 w/o the damage) condition. What do ya think? Thanks For Looking Ben
Well Sir, this was one I didn't have and fell into my target price range. I've almost blown all my (income tax) return allowance the wife let me goof off with Ben
It's not a great Draped Bust 1807 Half Dollar, but it's a decent Draped Bust 1807 Quarter. I have an 1805 DB Quarter and an 1806 DB Half Dollar if you want to see.
Good news is... they are both damn expensive, so whatever deal you got... well you probably did OK. If you look at the reverse, next to the last "A" in "America" there's a "C." When ever someone posts something about the difference between tokens and coins (having a denomination on them), I always think back to these. FYI, the dime doesn't have a denomination on it either, but I'm far from an expert on these, just have a couple.
Those are beauties. Chuckle, BTW, your the (1st:thumb: ) to catch the fact it has a C at the end of AMERICA. I purchased it as a half as well. My best deal in a long while. B
