Hi guys We got hit by the ice storm and lost power last night while I was in the middle of working on CoinTalk. Bad timing. Nobody was hurt but we did have a couple of trees hit the house. Still no power here and we don't know when we will get it back. There are a bunch of bugs to work out, the worst of which is the domains not redirecting properly. I hope you can all be patient while I wait to get power back. Thanks
We are happy you are alright and i hope youi will resolve the roof problem. I'm not having trouble with the site at all peter ,nothing is wrong on my side of the fence. Jazzcoins Joe
No problem. All day today cointalk.org hasn't been working for me, but cointalk.com has. Are you going to be changing over to .com or are both supposed to keep working?
Thanks everyone! We got our power back this evening, just in time to put the kids to bed, lol! Plenty of folks up in New Hampshire and Maine who got it worse than we did. At a certain point last night (around 2AM, 3AM or so), I thought it was raining trees outside.
Very glad to hear!!! Your pic is not showing up in your next post but I can imagine it must have been a little scary. Glad everyone is okay... The site is will be okay even with a few minor hiccups. Be safe and family first!
Well, the photo does appear here (or maybe now). Hope that apart from those damages, the house - and more importantly, everybody living there - is OK. Apart from a few glitches the site worked fine for yesterday. And now even the smilies are back ... which means that jazzcoins can stop using those jumbo ersatz smilies, hehe. Christian
We got hit hard by the ice storm in Upstate NY also. Still quite a few people without power. kinda weird driving with streetlights and stoplights out. Got some good pics also, ton of trees down.
Bet the pooch is happy he wasnt in the pen.. : ) Glad things are heading back to normal up there. We have been spared here in Michigan so far this winter.
Pete do you have a generator , our powers always going out , while the other side of the stree will have theres last time it was out 3 days , finally broke down and bought a generator 3500 , that got stolen after loaninging it to my ma , now we bought a 5000 watt one . rzage
This is what we got our heat from. We're all electric here, don't even have a gas line to the house. What I'd really love to do is have some solar panels and a wind turbine and generate my own power. I figure if the sun isn't shining, the wind is blowing so we'd be covered at both ends. Too bad I don't have the money for it though.
