Doubling shows as "extra moderate thickness"

"Extra moderate thickness". That's how the obverse doubling for the 2017-P Penny is described on Wexler's. This is another one that confuses me, because extra "thickness" on the letters can easily appear as die deterioration. So anyway, I'm comparing my coin to the 2017-P 1c WWHO-002 (Doubled Working Hub) on Wexler's site. Let me know what you guys think and give me some pointers. doubledie.com/2318537.html

Yours show clear doubling to me. I always run when I read "extra thickness" because I only use a 10x loupe and anything that requires more than that is outside of my purview. @Rick Stachowski is the expert I call in situations like this.

Maybe it is doubled.. I can't say for sure. I use a pretty good microscope and it still makes me want to run, lol. "Extra Thickness" and "Very Close Spread" are the absolute worst ones to examine. (and yeah, Rick is pretty awesome) :smug:

Your first photo is the most clear and I see clear notching on all letters on the top left. No doubt this is a DDO. Which one is something Rick can help with.
