Okay, this 1960 nickel definitely has some kind of doubling. It a pears that there may be a crack or something running from under his nose, all the way down half the way down his jacket. Pretty much all of his face is doubled on the profile and a lot of the letters on both sides. Part of the coin has a coppery color also. If you can't see it i will try to borrow a camera tomorrow and take better pics.
Entirely possible. I'm thinking that all of the "doubling" I'm seeing stems from that. If you look below his mouth, there is another crack. So was this possibly a die break that caused it to bounce? On the reverse there is also the doubling effect on the dome of the Monticello. I'll see if I can take a little better pictures. My main problem with them is being able to keep it steady...hehe on top of the fact I'm using a phone camera. I borrowed my dad's camera, but from what I've been able to figure out so far with it, you can't make out anything except that it's a shiny round object.
