Has anyone else been getting interested in the 2009 Formative Years cent Doubled Thumb varieties?

Thanks ;). I've been buying a few from Ebay, and also searching some uncirculated rolls..

Not much into modern coins, but I am getting myself a 1995 DDO solely because a birth year set wouldn't be much without it.
Proof, Mint, DDO checked off, now all I gotta get is the silver proof and the prestige set.

I got a nice extra finger a couple months ago, for a few bucks, just to put away. As common as they seem to be, I don't think they'll ever be worth much long term.

I think there are over a 100 varieties, but 7 of them will be included in Cherrypickers, so I do collect those 7. Time will tell if they'll be worth anything - as for now they sure have dried up on eBay campared to 2009.

If you look at Billy's photo in Matt's listing, there are three arrows. The uppermost arrow is pointing to what looks to be Lincoln's right thumb which can be seen through the space between Lincoln's lefthand thumb and forefinger.

That's the "extra thumb". For that to be Lincoln's thumb it would have to be about a foot long, since his right hand is on the other side of the book (and his right thumb is already visible there).

Okay! I get it now. It makes a difference when you can see more of the coin. I guess you can tell that I don't have too much interest in the Lincoln's.

    Thanks.

I figured if you could see more of the coin it would make sense. :)

Actually that one is doubling of the index finger.

I know both the 26 and the 27 which I discovered have been assigned FS numbers.
