double sovereigin

    My uncle call by today and the chat got to coin's he's mother left him some coin's. They are in cham braclet's but one coin he told me about a sovereign that has two head's
    It was one head after each other i am after goggle the two headed sovereign but no luck then i thought error coin
    I asked my father could he rembebered the coin
    He offered he's father 50 pound's for it 35 year's ago yes my father had a eye for a good thing.he said it was when ewardv 2 was chaning to george v i have no pic's at this moment but when it is dug up i hope to post some pic's olso my father has a george v quather soverign
    Were any minted your help as allway's are with thank's

    Sounds more like a wedding medal than anything else. There were no sovereigns with 2 busts on 1 side except for William & Mary, and that was long before Edward VII & George V.

    Either way, since they are set in jewelry value would likely be limited to bullion content.

    Thank's you were right about it not being a coin but a medal it has the bust of victoria on one side and the date of her death. the obverse has edward vii and he's wife alexandra
    It was tested for gold and it is
    Gold.carat at this stage i cant tell you
    As for my father and his quather sovereign i told him they were only two minted in 1853 and all he said ah well they must not be quather' so lol
