I got this out of a self check-out machine at my local walmart. It is perfect in every way, no wrinkles or folds. The misprint on the back is bold as you could expect. I noticed it and kept it out of my wallet or anything that would case it to crease. I've been lookin around and i've only found one other this new on eBay, and it didn't sell. I've tried checking into getting it graded and sealed so i can sell it. Can any one give me info on where to go to get it graded and to possibly sell it. I know how the mistake happened, but any other info would be great! thanks guys! Oh, and I messed up in the title. my bad. lol
Not sure its worth high dollars but on eBay anything is possible. A minor ink transfer, nice find. Here is another thread that talks about it. http://www.cointalk.com/t85974/ Unfortunately RickieB has pulled the images from his threads, there you could have seen some nice dark ink transfers! Happens when one sheet lays on top of another before the ink is dry on the bottom sheet. Again - nice find but you will not get rich when/if you sell it. Best Regards ~ Darryl
I know i won't get rich....im thinkin from what i've read, $100-$300 is the norm. i'd be happy with anything in that range. I'd just take the money and invest it in coins. lol
Is it a direct print or a transfer? If it's a direct print, it can be worth more. But yours looks like a indirect transfer, which is worth less. Nice find.-O)
PC means personal collection. I think its more of a baseball card collecting term. Like I just got a Mantle jersey card that I'm throwing in the PC.
It's a light, but 100%, offset error. A previous sheet was torn, folded, or missing, so the face printing meant for it was applied to the "board" below instead. A few sheets went through before yours, and got the mirror image applied on their backs. A few sheets after yours, the ink was gone, and no more errors made. As a 100% offset, it's worth more. As a light offset, it's worth less. Great circulation find, either way.
