Double Flaws (1983 one cent) Cud & Die Crack

I was looking at some of my old coins and i found a 1983 US cent that I had noted as having a mint error. I looked at it with a 10x lupe just to be sure it wasn't just a mark on the edge, but here is something exciting I found and I was interested if anyone had an idea of the value.

First. the coin looks to be EX- or better. it has an extra bit of metal just below lincolns bust about 2mm long and it reaches up to the base of his bust from the edge. I assume this if from a die break.

Second, there is a die crack running through his hair almost from where his hair meets his forehead all the way to the "d" in "In God We Trust". Its barely noticable with my lousy eyes, but totally obvious with magnification.

Note: the error above his head is less apparant in life than in the photo.

Anyone have any idea what this might be worth?

1983 Lincoln Cent _ DOUBLE ERROR!

Here 's one for the experts. (which I am clearly not) I found this coin in 1985 but never really took a good look at it until now. It has an extra chunk on the face below Lincoln's bust about 1mm x 2mm (almost). Then there is a raised mark from a die crack above his head running from the "D" in "In God We Trust" through his hair almost touching his forhead. Its barely visible to the naked eye, but really shows up well when magnified.

Sorry about my picture quality, can anyone give me advice on photographing coins? I run out of resolution and my camera will not focus any closer.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Well I would not call them errors, but they are very cool. A die crack and a cud on a 1983 penny. I am always looking for things like that.

See the "what's it worth" section of this site for the photo. The heading for the post is 1983 Lincoln Cent __ Double Error. Or something to that effect. It was posted at 11:30 am, on the 29th of december.

It is cool isn't it?! So, any ideas of value? I'm totally in the dark.

I am not sure it has a premium, but I would hold onto it. I have 4 state quarters I keep just because of the die cracks. I know they are common, but still I check all my coins and these are the only ones I have found.

Since there is no reason to have 2 threads about the same topic I have merged these together.

    Thanks
