So my wife dumped her change on my desk yesterday and I was going through it this morning and noticed a double headed 1977 dime. I was a little taken aback, never heard of such.

I looked at it under my digital microscope and it doesn't look natural, is this a trick / magicians coin or similar.. There appears to be a grove around one side that close up looks cut.

To the naked eye, it looks like a job well done, I just can't imagine this can be real and double struck, I wouldn't think that is possible.
Pics attached, thoughts appreciated please. 1309300654451707540.jpg 1309300655251746992.jpg

You hit it. It is manufactured. A good machinist , using a lathe or similar, cut a shallow area in one dime and then reduced another dime to fit into it. Some just use adhesive for inexpensive ones, others have threads.
