    If you want to scan or copy a note just get a old machine. For illustrative purposes only, of course.

    Make sure then that your computer works with such old scanners ... Moved to Paper Money. :)

    This must be built into the newest of machines. Mine is about 1 year old and has no problem with any of the new bills.

    I use a HP Scanjet G3110 flatbed scanner. I've had it since 2008 and have never had a problem scanning notes or 4-subject sheets. I'm thinking since it does not produce copies of the scan, it may not have the software mentioned in the article.
