Alright my fellow CoinTalk ancient Roman enthusiasts. I picked up the Domitian recently from my local ancient dealer. I am having a devil of a time attributing this coin properly. Can't find it on WildWinds, I've checked Sear & ERIC but am at a loss. Hope it's not a fake since I already bought it. This is how I read the portrait, reverse & legends: Domitian; AD 81-96 AE Dupondius; 28mm/9.2 g Obv: CAESAR AVG F DOMITIAN COS II; Domitian laureate & draped head left Rev: S-C, Spes advancing left, holding flower and raising hem of robe Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Domitian ... ... all I've got to add is this denarius ... => good ol' Minerva, eh? (holdin' thunderbolt & sceptre, with shield at feet) ... cool
I tried to find something, but I was looking for an As rather than a Dupondius. I didn't find it obviously. Not a bad looking coin at all. Here are two of my Domitian coins:
The seller had labeled it as a dupondius. But I suppose it could be an As. The size seems right for an As, and it's not quite as thick as other dupondii in my collection.
