Domitian as Caesar Bronze Minerva adv Left RIC II 315 Thoughts?

  1. Hello
I bought this coin this week, it was sold me a Germanicus with (an odd - sellers words) version of Minerva. It struck me the Minerva looked like the version seen on denarii of Domitian, and yes a little research indicated the coin was an as of Domitian as Caesar under Titus RIC II 315.
I received the coin today, and yes it's nice (for $30 in GF) but it seems very rare for the type? Have I bought a fake?
I've bought Roman coins since 1989 and I can spot a fake, this has no side seam from casting or file marks etc so it seems too good to be true. Thoughts please, 9g. 26mm. s-l1600 (9).jpg s-l1600 (10).jpg
    Thanks.

RIC II 315 has an obverse legend of CAES DIVI AVG VESP F DOMITIANVS COS VII; but I can't see any trace of AVG after DIVI.

It looks like your coin is either RIC II Rome 346 (under Titus) or RIC 348 depending on the obverse legend. 346 is CAES DIVI VESP F DOMITIANVS COS VII and 348 is CAES DIVI VESP F DOMITIAN COS VII and both are rated as common in RIC.
