Dollar coins

  1. Amongst the few coins from the garage.

    Sorry again for the pictures being flipped and the shadowing.

    Ike dollars not really special the other 3 are silver dollars %90 and have a melt value of at least $20.

  6. No, I wiped them with a shamwow to get the dust off them though

    Nooo...don't ever do that! Don't joke about it either, please. Do not wipe a coin with anything. Soak in distilled water or pure acetone only. Air or pat lightly to dry. Thank you in advance.
     
  10. Just wiping 25 year old dust off of coins hurts them? :bag: I didnt think it would:arghh:

    The age of the dust is inconsequential to the damage it'll do.

    The act of rubbing the coin with the ShamWow or any other material can put micro abrasions into the coin. Even with no dust. Add the dust to the rubbing and you're just giving the abrasions more ways to occur.
