This is a fascinating Token from 1904 that sold for a nice price, at least for the seller! It's a Token from the St. Louis World's Fair of 1904 and it's all about people who ate dogs, poor Fido! :D I knew it would sell for top dollar but I never thought it would sell for $1332 and change, wow! Anyone here have one or ever heard of one? Interesting backstory for this Token but I'll let you read all about it if you want, I was surprised to see so much information online especially since it's about eating dogs.

Me either and unbelievable that the Igorrotes were viewed in such a bizarre manner and treated poorly, if they were treated poorly. I can't believe everything I read but it stands to reason that they were treated as lower class persons for sure, unfortunate. :( That said, great looking token! :D

A dog eatery is a restaurant for dogs, not eating your or anyone else’s dog. They were popular around the turn of the early 1900’s and you can still find them in today’s society. I’m not sure this token was from 1904 as it was around a few years later. But it may have been used in the late 1800’s as well. Not many around but only a pure Uncirculated one would bring that amount.
