This one grading at NGC now. Using sellers picture and they didn't have the reverse. I know you can't give a grade without the reverse but does the obverse look prooflike?

I think BOTH side have to be PL to earn that label.

I know. I just didn't have pictures of the reverse to post. The reverse actually looked semi prooflike also. Oh well gave it shot. Got a nice 1945-D nickel that graded MS66* 5FS which made me feel better though.

Sometimes you gotta take a chance and go with it.

Thanks. I really like the look of this coin. Didn't grade well but I like it. I did a typo on the grade. It graded MS64 FB not 65. Was happy with the other coins that I had graded but was hoping for a better grade for the Merc. Guess I better look at PCGS photograde on the Mercury Dimes a little closer. Here are the other coins I submitted. I will post a picture of the dime when I get it back.
    001 1945 D 5C MS 66* 5FS
    002 1941 D 10C MS 64 FB
    003 1942 S 50C MS 64
    004 1943 D 50C MS 65+
    005 1948 50C MS 64 FBL
    006 1884 O S$1 MS 64
For what I paid for these coins I am happy.

Thats the most important thing. If you are happy then everything else irrelevant unless you decide to make it a challenge.
Thats what I like about collecting coins is that there is always a better, higher graded mint state off centred defective die broadstrike rpm d/d lamination die cracked coin out there somewhere.
Yes we could all possibly go out and buy the best coins on the market,we buy what we can afford but where do you go from there.
I enjoy the hunt, the challenge to find the weird and wonderful error's . I love seeing what these guys and gals collect, most are stunning, the rest loopy likes.
I have a long way to go.But I'm enjoying it,im happy and in my book that works for me.
