Going thru rolls today & came across this Quarter. It looks to me like a sintered planchet /improperly annealed . I was wondering if any one has seen one to comfirm this or not. It has a lot of copper color & is similar to the color of the one on the Coinpage site . Any comments are appreciated.

Could be wrong but it looks like a toned coin to me.

I agree, looks like post-mint damage. Only thing to change that view would be if it came from a brand new UNC roll of quarters (ex new roll of Nevada State Quarters), and not a bank wrapped roll of circulated quarters.

It doesn't look like "sintered plating" or "copper wash". Possibly another form of mint discoloration. Then again, it could be discoloration that was acquired outside the Mint.
