I would not buy that sight unseen. United Numismatic Certification is a new company that has zero credibility. Charlie
or this one? This one looks really awesome. How much do you think it will fetch if it is real? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8358749828&fromMakeTrack=true#ebayphotohosting
that's exactly what my concern was, but it looks like a very decent coin. They Flying Eagles are all over the place in pricing. Ruben
They both look beautiful and genuine, BUT contact the seller and ask about their RETURN policy. It should be at a minimum of 30 days to allow you to have the coin/coins professionally appraised by someone you feel comfortable with and respect their judgement. If this includes having to CRACK-OUT the coin then so be it. That's a lot of luggage for the seller to agree to and I'll bet they will shy away from these requests and if they do then you should shy away from the deal. This is just another peril of having coins slabbed. JMHO Bone
Wow...that one that is "ms65" is cool! I wouldn't bet that its uncleaned....no copper coin would still be that RED after this many years I don't think....maybe dipped---but I still think its a cool coin! Speedy
Have to agree with Speedy, it's very likely been cleaned, but if money was no object I wouldn't care, it'd still be a great coin to have.
To spend that much the coin better be in a slab I feel good about. Otherwise - I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole unless I could hold the coin in my hand first.
hey..he says he Personal honestly thinks it's good coin with really full sharp hairs on Eagle chest..what more guarantee would you want?
