Hi all! I'm selling a bunch of silver denarii on eBay, that I've bought in various lots but don't want, but I'm wary of selling this one. The details look soft, and the edges look unusual. Does it look like a modern fake to you? I obviously don't want to sell a forgery. Apologies if the pictures aren't very good. I wasn't able to take a decent photo of the obverse especially. Thanks!
No offense, Harry G, but a coin like that is unlikely to go for more than $15 or so on eBay. I can't imagine why anyone would bother faking a coin in that condition. I think it is genuine and you are safe to sell it.
