Does Cardstock Have PVC?

Just got some cardstock to print on to make labels for two-pocket Saflips. It is "acid & lignin free," but does not mention anything about PVC. I looked online and couldn't find anything. The brand is "the paper studio" and it's 80lb cardstock.

Does anyone know if this is fine to use?

    Thanks.

Also the printer toner includes something called "styrene acrylates copolymer" which is apparently a polymer which includes acrylic acid and methacrylic acid. I assume those are fine, but maybe someone here has an idea?

No, paper wouldn't contain PVC. "Acid and lignin free" probably implies low sulfur, but I can't guarantee that, and sulfur is what you want to avoid. (It's hard to have active sulfur without acid, though.)

Toner, ironically, won't tone coins -- I've seen images of toned coins that picked up negative images of printed letters where ink or toner on paper blocked the paper's sulfur from the coin. But toner itself can stick to coins or other things. If it does, acetone should take it right back off -- but if it stays there long enough to protect the coin's surface while the rest of the coin tones, the resulting pattern is going to be hard or impossible to fix.

Here is an example of what the letter transfer can look like. this is a little different but for the most part tones the same.
The Morgan in the thread happened in a Whitman folder. And toned around the letters that were pressed against the coin.

Thank you all. I have seen that letter toning before--I actually really hope to acquire a piece like that some time! I think it is so neat. Fortunately for my coins, I will be putting the coin in one pocket of the 2x2 and the label in the other to avoid that direct contact. I am hoping the paper in sulfur free. I can not find much info on "the paper studio." I will keep looking around, though. I did a bit of research and feel comfortable enough to use the paper. If I find a company email I'll reach out, or perhaps I'll buy a lead acetate paper test to see if I can detect any sulfur on my own. Since this is sort of archival cardstock (I think mostly for scrapbooking), I think it should be fine.
