Hi Ive just stumbled across you guys, and thought i would ask could anyone tell me if my Elizabeth 1st coin is a fake? I found it today and i think it just looks a bit too neat and crisp for its age. Its dated 1562 so if yo ucould have a look i would be REALLY grateful

yup its got an artificial feel to it. IMHO I would not buy it it

i would say the rim on the reverse dosent look right...

 

That's an Elizabeth I of England (1558-1603) sixpence, from the second coinage. It looks pretty genuine, just a bit off struck. However, you would need to check the edge to find out if it was real, and that mark to the left of the shield does look a little bit suspicous....
