Do you think its possible to find a chain cent while metal detecting.

    Nope. There was a strict law passed my the senate in 1957 prohibiting the finding of all and/or any chain cent while metal detecting. I personally think it's a stupid law since now when we get a copper signal on or detectors, we know 100% for sure it is not a chain cent.

    I guess it's certainly possible. Likely? No. You would probably have better chances of hitting it big with the lottery...

    I saw a post on a group not too long ago where someone had found one. Obv was pretty much gone but the chain was still strong. So yes it is possible, just not likely.

    Sure. You must find an area, that should have one to find. Most likely in the North. I do not feel that you would many places here in the South to find one, except in Savannah, GA.

    I saw a couple guys on youtube find one around an old foundation out east. Pretty worn.
