Someone had the secret service verify it's authenticity, then some famous counterfeiter claimed it was his work. My question is did they ever conclusively determine it's authenticity?
I'm not sure about conclusively, but I'm under the impression that the counterfeiter's story was believable and it is the currently accepted story.
I agree with CT, most folks think it's a fake. But I also seem to recall that the Secret Service looked at it a second time and still verified authenticity.
