This thing has been through the ringer, but I still love it. One of my favorite designs by the U.S. Mint.
I will play, Found this on June 1st in a roll of nickels while working one afternoon. Normally only war nickels catch my eye. I took a second look at this one because it seemed so coroaded from being under ground. Seems to have circulated a bit after. It's my first and only 1950-D rescued from the wild.
First coin I ever bought with my dad. The date is worn off and she's very ugly but I was so excited to get it with my spare change. My dad's been gone a long time and I'd love to explain the story to my kids once they're older.
It's kind of ugly depending on who you ask and not really a coin, but she's mine and I love her like Whitney loved coke.

They are ugly right now BUT when the resto is done they will be much much better. 1858 Large Letters 1864 Copper Nickel 1908-S
My final ugly one for tonight. I have plenty of ugly ones. It makes me appreciate the beauties when I can keep them.
It doesn't command much of a premium, but Google it and you'll find that the internal for break is a clear indicator of Snow 16. The are date digits punched into the eagle neck.
