If its coin related, I'm all for folks sharing their numismatic passions here Bring it on!!!! I enjoy error collecting too. Doesn't have to be "worth" anything (monitarily), I just like finding them. So again I say, bring it on
While I fully agree with Lawdogct, maybe if you posted them in the Error Coins forum you might get less flak. Just a suggestion.
And a lot less "views" busy right now will post photo later bring on the flak, I can take it. I bet someone got flak for collecting 3 legged "damaged" buffalos years ago, "WHEN" it was happening. got any speared D's Bisons?.....I BOUGHT 5........."NOW" that it's happining.
higher view count here? true. but I'm with WaA140, go for quality, not quantity Either way, look forward to your latest find.
Looks nice. I like die cracks, especially if you can get a series of early, mid, and late die states. I think he needs a drool cup.
Haha, if I would have seen that in circulation I would have spent it. It just looks like a regular scratch to me lol.
I agree---Mike Diamond is over there some and he really knows the errors.... Are you saying that the 3 legged Buffs are damaged??-- I have seen a few 3 legged buffs and from the looks they are not damaged... Speedy
Yes Mike knows about errors, way more than I ever will. The damaged comment was a joke. The 3 legged is from excessive die polishing (or Damage) to the die. My errors are damage to the die as well. But to some they are just "spenders"
To others they are just DIE CRACKS! But still enjoy seeing anything out of the ordinary! Thanks for the photo!
Don't be discouraged Errorcoins - not everybody likes the same thing - you can't expext them to. Some folks like vanilla - some like chocolate. Believe me - I know how ya feel. So do many others here. If I post a pic of a 350 yr old gold French coin that is MS - and get 3 or 4 comments - I feel lucky Or if Roy post a pic of one of his Japanese coins that he's spent the last 5 yrs looking for - he may only get a few comments himself. But that's because not everybody likes those kinds of coins. The point is one you already made - and it goes for all of us. We post pics of coins WE enjoy and share them with others. The sharing is the thing that counts - whether it be pics, information, knowledge - whatever. That's what makes a numismatic community - sharing
Bring on more pics!!! I love seeing these coins! To the people that don't, GET LOST! Find another hobby.
GDJMSP correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it just possible that a better response and general reception might be had if the post were made in that part of the forum that it is intended to be placed in; threads related to errors placed in the "error Coin' discussion group, and variety nickels must have been thought up to talk about a specific coin. Just a thought as some of these posts look out of place where they are now IMO.
Dear Errorcoins, I appreciate you showing us all your crack. It's a nice crack. I'd be proud to show that crack anytime. If you'd like cracks so much you should move on over to error coins and see my crack. It's a fine crack too. See ya there.
Hey, great PR! Telling folks to GET LOST is certainly a good way to increase participation on the forum! And I thought that it was OK to express one's opinion here, but It looks like I was wrong. I always thought having a few years worth of collecting under one's belt and a decent size coin library meant you might have something worth sharing, but I suppose not. While I still believe that the die cracks are common, I have always thought that you should collect whatever you like and not worry much about what anyone sles had to say about it. However NICK66, your attitude I can certainly do without,... so I'll just get lost! BYE.. JD
