Welcome to the site. I'll tell you this old man needs are closer pic, my eyesight's not what it used to be. If possible.
Also confused about distance some things say they should either almost touch or be touching and some say they should definitely be touching does anyone the correct answer?
Totally understandable. I know absolutely nothing about phone cameras. My old Star Trek flip phone has a camera on it. Really don't know how to work it, I've only had it for about five years now. But I have heard and seen on eBay there is a close-up lens attachment for phones to get those real close-ups of coins. You may want to check it out.
Here's some good information - it's actually easier to tel from the "G" in the designers initials "FG" near the base of the memorial, right hand side. http://coinauctionshelp.com/wideandcloseAM.html#.V8Rck8vSbbR
Lol flip phones are coming back watch lol and thanks yea trying to photograph these things has been a nightmare
Thank you! Its so confusing sometimes its like non are the EXACT same so trying to understand whats supposed to be can def be mind bending
It's not as much getting close ups as it is getting clear pictures. A normal sized clear picture is so much better than a blurry close up.
My phone company keeps want me to upgrade my phone. And I tell them all I use my phone for is to talk to another person, nothing more. And I tell them I can do everything with my tablet just as easy as a smart phone. And I'm not paying that high phone bill. They don't like that. And last month they even called and lowered my cell phone bill $20. So much for idle chatter. There are members out there with a lot better eyesight than mine and I know you'll get the help you're looking for. Keep collecting.
Ignore the actual distances because that can vary depending on die wear and whether or not the die has been polished. So don't study the separation between the A and M. Just take a quick overall impression of the whole AME group. First impression does the M look centered between the A and E or does it look offset to the left. If your first impression is that it looks centered it's a Wide AM.
