Id say fake becuase of the not full letters in " In god we trust" and throughout the fields there are small depressions everywhere which is caused when small air pockets get trapped when pouring it into a mold.

    Welcome to the forum.

IMHO, the coin in your photos looks suspect of being fake. It just doesn't look right (that is a fake diagnostic and it is also a diagnostic of a bad photo). The denticles don't look sharp around 360 degrees. The fields look mushy and might have some evidence of casting. The details are not present in the wheat at Liberty's seat. This is just my oppinion that it could be fake. Let's see what others say about your coin here at CT.

You should weigh it & accurately measure the diameter. This data may confirm that the coin is fake.

Can't be certain 100% but looking at your images, the surfaces at first glance appear to be a rather crude counterfeit.

Sorry if that becomes a truth.

Well, I can say 100% fake. Everything is wrong about that coin. In addition, the '78 plain was a "proof only" strike, with a total mintage of approximately 900.
