I was looking at various Kennedy rolls that are touted as "unsearched" - what's your experience with these? I'm confused as to why someone would buy a bank roll on ebay for $15 and then pay S/H, bringing the cost of the roll to almost twice the face value of the coins, when a bank would only charge you the FV. Are these dealers just taking advantage of suckers, or am I missing something? I can understand the logic of buying unopened mint rolls for the sake of cherry-picking, though. And I'm a little curious about the contents of this thing... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Un...74?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item232634f9be The end pieces aren't toned to my liking, but I'd really like to know what's inside...
Can not blame you. I check carefully the photograph of that roll. Do not like it either. Maybe I can offer about $ 120 Bucks FREE SHIPPING. It's a gamble for his 100% Positive FEEDBACK. That's all I can offer on his lot if wanted to FIND out what was INSIDE.
IMHO the end showing Kennedy looks to have been unrolled once before, i could be wrong but thats just my take...
I doubt he'd list it as 20 1964's if he didn't already know what was inside. Otherwise he'd probably be hyping the fact that it may contain Franklins or Walkers. This guy has a few other "unopened bank rolls" of silver coins for sale, and they all look like at least one end was poorly re-crimped.
