    Hi All,

I bought this medal from Djibouti in a lot of Paris Mint medals a while back, and have since spent many hours on it effectively treading water. I believe it to be from the 1970s-80s, it is silvered, and struck at the Paris Mint, and is 75mm in diameter. The box indicates that it is some sort of Presidential Medal (translates literally to 'Presidency of the Republic), and the case has hooked prongs to support the medal when angled in the box. I have even gone so far as to contact the Paris Mint, but they unfortunately do not offer identification services.

Any help as to identifying it's purpose, composition or specific date of manufacture would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance! DSC_1467 (2).JPG DSC_1468 (2).JPG DSC_1469 (2).JPG DSC_1470 (2).JPG

It's quite handsome. I can't help you at all with identification, but hey, it's nice.

    Hmmm,

It could be part of the "Zoid Collection," for a reasonable fee of course . . . .
