Just before I got sick...I started to collect the Disney Dollars for my son as he fell in love with the Pirates of the Caribbean I thought this was pretty neat...picked it up about 2 years ago. Please post your notes..I think they are pretty cool items..lol
My whole family is filled with Disney Nuts and we've been several times to both Disneyland and Disney World. But surprisingly, I only have two Disney Dollars. Anyway, here they are! I have a Series 2003 $1 with Mickey and a Series 2007 $1 with Ariel! I'll be visiting Disneyland this spring, so maybe I'll pick up a few while I'm there.
My fiance is not into coins at all. She works at Bank of America and said she sees enough there. But she sure loves Disney so maybe I can ease her into this hobby by pawning a few of these off on her.

I started collecting them when there were more Disney stores around. When we were at Disneyworld in early 2011 they were not selling them in any of the stores and you had to go to guest services at the front entrance, which I did. The young ladies were most helpful in digging them out, but they admitted it had been awhile since they had sold any and no new ones had been printed - but I have heard rumours they are going to do some more at some point. My favourite ones are the "Princess" series, but I have them back to when they started coming out in 1987. My kids collected them, lost interest in them and I sold them on eBay for ridiculous profits. I have kept mine and hope to add the $50 sometime if I can find one at a price I want to pay.
