Hi, It's certainly an exciting find. It's not going to make you rich, though. If you haven't cleaned it and it's not damaged, you could probably sell it for ten bucks, maybe a bit more if it's not too worn. If it has an 'S' mint mark on it, the value would be significantly higher. Nice find.

My husband found a 2004 D dime, and the 4 of 2004 is so diminished we could hardly make out the 4 (and by hardly, I mean almost invisible. Is it worth anything other than .10? Also, I was reading about the double ear lobe error. Can you tell me more about this?
