I have 2000 dimes - is it worth it to look through them as I have the pennies which btw was awesome and I found a few great ones - how about nickels. I have looked online but there wasn't much info about modern dime errors or nickel errors - respectively is this my answer?

What do you know of coins? Do you have a book on them? How to grade them? If "NO", you need to get some and study them. You then can and will be able to answer most of your questions. Join a coin club in your area, and get involved.
All coins are worth examination. You never know what you will find. Look at my most recent post a cool dime I found in pocket change.
I wouldnt ever grade a coin without more than one opinion saying that it needs to be graded, and thats very rare. Especially with newer coinage.. unless you find something thats ultra rare, or needs to be authenticated, i wouldnt even bother. PS. I cant stop looking at every single coin that crosses my path.. You may just miss something very nice.
