Do either of these look like dimes missing their clad layer? I have not weighed them yet but plan to.
No. Both were affected by Environmental Damage. Normal Dimes with Clad layers sti there but affected by the elements. A true missing Clad Layer only happens on one side of a Clad Coin. Here is a Dime example from my collection -
The copper is usually very bright on a missing clad layer, and doesn't look at all like a rusted dime. Weighing them is the first thing to do. Should be just under 2.3 for a normal clad dime. You can see Paddy's weighs 1.8g.
