I have a "1971 Roosevelt Dime" with the designer initials on the date.Wonder how much It would bring? It has been Graded. fullofpraise@cmaaccess.com Thanks!
I haven`t got one just yet.I will be emailing who did the grading to see If I could get one. If your ever in Quitman,Ms. area email me.
So do the tens of billions of other Roosevelt dimes minted from 1946 to this morning. The statistical probability is that it is worth exactly it's face value of 10¢, unless it's an S mintmarked silver proof, in which case it can be sold at a small discount from its bullion value of about 85¢. Depending on which TPG has graded it, and which of the 70 possible grades it has received, it could be worth a buck or so.
Yeah I haded graded by "PCI" outta Georgia.I paid for three day service and the had my coins two months.I think they might have changed one.I called and was told what could I do about them having my coins, real ugly like.A real learning exsperience.
I guess you could use a camera, and then use a free picture hosting site to get them up on the forums. Rob
Easier said the done.If I were to buy an exspensive camera that I`m not able to do now.I`ve tried the cheaper cameras and the quality just isn`t good enough to support the detail on most coins.
If you have a scanner, use it to create a .jpg file of your coin, that you can attach to your posting. BTW you still haven't told us what grade PCI assigned. Without that information, and no picture to verify the quality of the grading, there's no way a legitimate value opinion can be given. ( PCI, of course, is absolutely not a first, or even second, level TPG, so it's grade cannot be given major weight.)
Yeah Roy,....I do believe your right. They called It "enviromental damage" I guess because of a substance on the coin.Upon recieving It there was a nice gloss and they couldn`t even tell me was that substace used at the mint. Its a yellow transparent material on It.Alil on the front and some on the back.A very nice looking coin still.
Do a forum search for "Camera". There have been a number of threads on the subject. My own photo skills are minimal, and I'm not in a position to advise anyone else.
