hello! So I've been scouring the internet and can't find anything like these two coins I have. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this as well as inform me if they are valuable. Thank you!
Interesting that the dime is missing the date and 'OF' on the flip side (reverse) in the same relative spot - is it possible to be 'struck through' on opposite sides of the same coin? - I'm not a mint error expert, so I'll wait and see what more knowledgeable CT members have to say.
I was curious about this. I'm thinking a CUD on the reverse as the rim is faded away too, which would explain the weak strike (lack of date) on the Obverse. @paddyman98 would know a lot more.
The dime could be a tapered planchet. Please provide a weight for the dime. http://www.error-ref.com/tapered-planchets/
Thank you. I will have to buy a scale and get back to you. Any ideas what's going on with the strange nickel?
