Did a search and didn't reveal any previous posts. Question is do any of you use a usb style digital microscope or camera for your computer to view coins? Looking on ebay and there are several options. Just wanting some reviews, pro / cons, etc. Thanks

------Welcome Schmotz39! I crh cents (pennies). I started out this past summer. I love it. You were wondering about a scope. I bought one and it is really nice. The only issue is the plastic that holds it to the stand broke. I moved it around way too much so it's probably my fault AND cheap. Good price though and the quality of the picture on the screen is nice! It does not say that it works with Mac products but I assure you it does. I think it's a good value. Check it out on amazon.

Go to the box in right hand corner of the main blue header, it is under your userid, inbox, alert, Type usb microscopes in the Keyword box, click on search titles only,
, leave the posted by member blank. and now the difficult part, click in the newer than box, and a calendar will appear with todays date highlighted. Go to the upper left hand arrow ( <- ) and click it until the date reads something like 2014-12-31, this will give you the last 2 years, click on any date . I usually click on display as threads and "search". Severaal hundreds, Jim

I bought a similar cheap one very much like this and it ended up not working with my Computer due to compatibility issues. I have since given up on finding a cheap microscope :(

Don't worry about the magnification with USB scope . It's all in the mp . Nothing less then a 5mp ....

What was the compatibility issue? This scope said it only worked for windows and I got it to work for MAC. Maybe I could help?

Thanks but it is long gone, the CD didn't function either and it really just got frustrating. I just try to take photos with nice MP cameras and then zoom in.
