Digital Coin Photography Question?

    If a choice beween the two go with the 72mm. Possibly to much distortion with the other one. But in reality for those prices why not get both and experiment.

    One more thing is to always try to find out the outer filter ring size of any lenses you buy. Note that in the future if you want to buy any filters the common sizes are fairly cheap but odd sizes could cost a lot and may not be available. Really common size filter rings are usually 49, 52 and 55mm.

    I hope it works out for you, Toad ! I have no snap on photo hardware at all.

    There is a book coming out named "Coin Photography" by Mark Goodman. It has been delayed a few times; hopefully it will be out soon. I'm holding off investing in photo equipment until I read that book.

    The latest I have seen is the book will ship June 30. I have little to no faith in that date because the ship date has been pushed back several times now.
