Why are both world coin collectors and ancient collectors on the darkside? They should both have a different dimension.... I propose that we call the ancient dimension the "circle":kewl: stainless
I don't think of the different dimensions. I collect mostly U.S. but some World and Ancients both on the side too. I guess in my mind a collector is a collector, no matter what the focus of their collection is.
Never understood the darkside thing. I guess its because people are approachig the hobby here from an amerocentric point of view where american coins are the norm and the VAST number of world and ancients (that predate and outnumber by far...and IMO are much nicer on average) are somehow the 'other'....I agree with adam that a collector is a collector and they are all coins...no sides.
I agree 100% with Drusus; and what about "international" collectors like me ? For me, USA coins are World coins... USA is just another country for my collection.
Because the great Sith Lord Darth Bane instituted the "Rule of Two" over a millennium ago. There shall be the Master and the Apprentice.
Steady on I come from the dark side and there's nothing wrong with it tho I never looked at it as being the dark side and as you say a collector is a collector,I started collecting world and ancient coins long before I devirsefide to U.S.A. coins or notes and still enjoy collecting world and ancient coins to this day :vanish: regards Harry :stooge:
