Merry Greetings Among my collection , I noticed that there are 3 Lincoln cents which have diffrrent positions in the mint mark each . Could it be an error or what ? Thank you in advance . 7 Calbrey
Until sometime in the early 90's, the mintmark was punched into the dies by hand which will account for the different positions. If you look at Kennedy half dollars from the 70's & 80's you will see the mintmark all over the place. No error! Chris
