I was reading with interest a post and thread about die trails. As the name implies and the accompanying fotos clearly showed, it is obvious what they are, but can someone explain what happens during the striking process to cause it.
I ask because it is the first time I have come across the issue and would like to add it to my "learning curve" in this great hobby.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I personally don't find them terribly interesting, but this site has everything you never needed to know about them: https://www.traildies.com/

Thanks, i will peruse it now.
BTW according to the text under your avatar it would appear you collect prooflike pieces. I will shortly have a few basic (to you) questions regarding them. Is it best to start a new thread and tag you? as it is not really the theme of this thread.

Yes, I specialize in prooflike coins. Starting a new thread is the best choice. That way anyone else can respond to your question. You could also send me a private message, but then you'll only get my opinion.
