Found this roll hunting. Is this an example of a die scratch? The metal is pushed above the coins surface. Notice the two vertical lines running through "Liberty."[IMG][IMG]

Thanks, just went in to a meeting so I couldn't re-upload. First time I've run in to this issue with images using tapatalk.

What is Tapatalk? And why does every member that uses it always have problems uploading their pictures?

It's a phone app that lets you view and post to multiple forums. On mine I have about 15 different forums loaded (Coin collecting, architecture, guitar playing, etc.). Never had issues with posting photos until today though.

It's a plating blister/bubble. You'll see lots of these on early Copper plated Lincolns. Interesting the way they are long and approx parallel. I wonder if they could be from residual contamination on the zinc blank from when it was rolled. Or it could just be from some other part of a poorly controlled manufacturing process:facepalm:

Yeah that's why I was unsure at first, I've come across plenty of cents with small spherical blisters - not parallel and elongated ones like these. Still pretty neat in my book!
