The trouble with Zlincolns is, you're forced to consider the varying manifestations of its' composition along with other explanations for what you see. If the coin were ten years older, it'd undoubtedly be considered a die break or a gouge (I tend to agree with Chris on it). But, as a Zlincoln, you also have to think about the possibility of blistering and bubbling, which can look just like certain die anomalies. So doubt is thrown into the process.
Me too. I learned how to spot a die crack but never found a die gouge like this, so I thought it looked to me like die crack with a metal flow. But I agree with you on the verdict, and I too hate zinc..
