I am new to error colloecting but a 2005 Bison Nickel from a mint roll has a line that runs from the chin to the edge of the coin almost parallel to the jawline. It is not completely straight or smooth but appears to be raised when viewed at 15x. Could this be a die crack or fault and if so would it be worth anything?
BTW is anyone else disappointed by the quality of the Bison Nickels from the mint rolls?

    Thanks
    Mickey

It could be a die crack....and many would tell you that they are worth $$$...

Now I'm one that doesn't think so....its a die crack and even if its a so called error I don't think it should be.

I wouldn't pay more than a few dollars but some might pay over $75 or more.
you just have to find the right buyer.

    Welcome to the forum :)

Die cracks are pretty common. I do collect errors, and enjoy finding them, even common ones like die cracks. Unless its a particularly dramatic die crack, they usually don't carry any premium past the face value of the coin.
