I posted this in the error coin forum and was wondering what the value of this coin would be? I have looked at it real close and believe it to be a real die crack. Any and all replies are welcomed. Thanks
I would say an die cracked coin is more interesting (to me) than a normal one, but don't normally command a premium. Personally, I love die cracked coins (especially the early ones). One of my favorites is the 1804 C5 "Frankenstein" half cent. I also go out of my way to collect various examples of die cracked Washington quarters and Roosevelt dimes...but I do that because they don't cost extra to collect.
