Die clog?

  1. My great grandma had this 1919 S wheat penny and this one has a possible clogged die error on the reverse in the words UNITED STATES. Thoughts??

    That's damage. You can clearly see where the metal has been moved.

    It might have started life as a little weaker strike than normal, with 100 years of wear and tear, it is what it is - a very well circulated coin that's taken a few knocks.

    By "die clog" did you mean grease filled die ?
