Hi all, I have this 1882O Morgan, a nice enough coin. It has what I think are die cracks on the obverse and a die clash at the back of Libertys neck. The die cracks, if thats what they are, are located mostly at the bottom of Libertys neck, there is one that runs through the first 'U' in PLURIBUS and one behind Libertys cap. Tha die clash, again if that is what it is, is located at the area where the cap meets the hair on the bottom. It looks like the inprint of a portion of the leaves from the reverse. The reverse seems pretty normal... I took some photos and have uploaded them to Photobucket, some of them are ordinary and have not been altered, others have been converted to a negative format to better show the details, some were taken through a loupe to get a bigger image (Not easy!!). Theres quite a few and I dont want to put them all on the server. Thanks in advance all
The only Top 100 or Hot 50 1882-O's are O/S or O/O. Check the mint mark. The clash and cracks are cool, but I doubt that they will warrant any price increase. An O/S or an O/O on the other hand will.
