Die Chipped 1976 penny

    Help an old man out and tell me where the chip is. All I can see is a stain on the obverse. Both photos get blurry when I try to enlarge them.

    The line going from below the L to the back, and back around.

    That area is indented.

    If it’s indented then it’s not a die chip. Die chips are raised because a chunk of the die broke off and the metal would flow into the broken die.

    This is a Die Chip on the number 9..
    You would just say chip not chipped
