I received an e mail back today from Robert 'Bob' Neff at Cuds- on - coins. Some may remember the <1853> H-10 I cherry picked a few weeks before Christmas . He has confirmed that yes it is a bisected rim to rim die crack. He also asked if he could use my images to up load to the site. This is the first one noted for the <1853> date in the H-10 series.
Needless to say I was pretty happy hearing the news.
So he will be posting the images soon! :)

Paddy, you're going to be famous! Or infamous. Time will tell. :)

Say "Hey" to BJ for me. Years ago he helped us out on a funny one. Unfortunately, the expert he had us mail it to opined it was a dud. Thinking my kid would be let down for the verdict, he mailed us some little gifts when he returned the coin. Guys like him are why after a half-century I'm still in this "hobby." Were it just for the rackets part, you know what I mean, I'd have been gone a long time ago.

See, that's one of the reasons I care so little about that site. The fact that this expands the knowledge of a known, identified die pairing matters not at all to them.

I'm trying to find an R factor on a Valentine 9 A on bust H10 you can find them. It's not that important but just like to know how rare....as I have several 1853 h 10 ' s and it be nice to know if I was to sell one what is the most common vs rare.

Die paring matters to me I'm always on the bust half dime site trying to find rare marriages . So if I'm surfing the net and see a bust half dime that I like if it's worth pulling the trigger . Unlike others I don't collect to fill holes I collect to fill my passion for varieties . If I was a hole filler I would not have about 15/20 1880's Morgans I have just one. :)

Nice job! BTW, the guy with the 11 cent piece is trolling CoinTalk's Facebook page hardcore about how his coin is better than yours. :joyful:
