I did not know that you could not put " B.V. of 27.00 in G4) in my listing. Listing got pulled and I was threatened by possibly having to take a tutorial. What the Flub
Oh, I'm pretty sure they have that written down somewhere in small print. ...ere....so what does it mean?
Listing a value or a numeric grade is not permitted for uncertified coins. Read this including the examples; http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-coins.html
They should really crack down on the auctions which list a coin as "BU"... I just saw one today designated as such, and obviously not more than an XF cleaned/dipped.
That rule really isn't enforced well then. I see it all the time where grades are listed. Heck, I have even done it before. I always state in my description that that is my opinion and you should grade it for yourself. I also list all the visible defects I see. In My opinion putting the grade sure beats putting "nice coin" on every listing
L@@k L@@K! is offensive. But it is their gig so they get to write the rules. & extract their lb of flesh. They do save me some driving.
They have so many auctions running at one time they can't really examine then to make sure all the rules are being complied with. In many cases it will slide unless someone complains about it.
I think you will find it very well enforced - if you read it right. If certified, you can list the grade anywhere. If uncertified, you may ONLY list it in the description and the dollar value or price guide nowhere.
