Did Pcgs miss the FB??/udpdated I did not have this graded. do you think Pcgs should have graded it full bands??
Great looking "W" dime and you got a high grading to boot. good for you!! I have to agree that the bottom band is a little below par.
Do TPG's charge extra money for designations like FB? Where I am going with this is maybe someone just did not want to pay extra. I could be completely wrong though.
The top band looks fine, but the bottom band appears to fade a little together towards the right. I could see this coin going either way...it's pretty full but I would say not completely full. No, it's considered part of the grade.
seems odd to me. If the coin had the FB I'd say "yea that seems right". Maybe I am missing something.
PCGS does FB or Full Bands NGC does FT or Full Torch. NGC is harder to get the FT just like with the FBL of the franklins
This is my understanding. CamaroDMD, can you reference something that says it's automatic. I'll accept anything that is essentially the same. FBL, FS, FH, etc.
It is not listed as an additional fee on their website. If you look here you see "additional services" for "VARIETY ATTRIBUTION" and "FIRST STRIKE DESIGNATION." The list of varieties has nothing to do with FBL ect. but is about VAMs, Overton #s, ect. http://www.pcgs.com/services/
You do, that's exactly what their website says (among other specific attributions). It says nothing about additional fees for FBL, FH, FB, ect. which I'm almost certain are part of the normal grading process.
