Not saying he did but if he switched coins he would of just given you a different coin and holder. Your pictures from your auction to see if its a different coin

Bag marks are like a fingerprint. No two coins will have identical bag marks. Compare the marks on the coin you sold (using photos, of course) to the marks on the coin you received back. Simple as that.

the bag marks on her face are the same or similar they look stronger than what i remember but there's one smudge looking mark near the back of the cap or bonnet that looks different i dont recall being there thanks for your help i was wondering if the case would show anything that would give me any ideas if it ha been opened

You'd think so. But, if you took 3 pictures of the same coin, each time changing the angle and/or the lighting just a little bit, on each of those pictures you will see marks that are not visible in the other pictures - and vice versa.

To date there has never been even 1 proven case where a major TPG has switched coins on a submitter - ever.

True enough, Doug. But if you have one or more good photos of the coin AND the coin in hand you should be able to determine whether the coin in hand is the same coin in the photo (by tipping and turning the coin and looking for bag marks and other identifiers that are visible in the photos).

Who said anything about a TPG switching out coins? The OP is concerned that a DEALER may have switched coins on her, not a TPG.

One of the pitfalls of selling on ebay is getting a returned coin and in this case a GSA. :rollling: I really doubt someone would buy a coin to take and replace the coin, a GSA or otherwise. I don't think the buyer switched the coin but if you're convinced, then go thru the guy's feedback and see if you see any other times he did it. If you don't find anything, then refund the dude's money and move on. :thumb:
